On April 2, the Qilihai Cultural and Sports Festival promotional event was held in Tianjin's Ninghe district, with the participation of leading officials from the local authorities, as well as representatives from local enterprises and media outlets.
With a long history and profound culture, Ninghe has been praised as a "land of plenty." Meanwhile, the Qilihai Wetlands located in Ninghe is one of the three ancient coastal wetlands in the world and the only national-level ancient coastal natural reserve in China. There is great potential for Ninghe to promote its local cultural industry.
During the promotional event, Bai Fengxiang, secretary of the CPC Tianjin's Ninghe District Committee, highlighted that this year Ninghe will conduct a series of activities themed on Qilihai Cultural and Sports Festival, demonstrating the vigorous development of cultural and sports undertakings in Ninghe.
A total of 133 cultural and sports events are expected to be organized throughout the year, including an ecological bicycle tour competition, Qilihai hiking activity, international roller skating competition, Qilihai leisure fishing competition and the 2024 Tianjin Qilihai Half Marathon.
Liu Huan, deputy head of Ninghe district, introduced that, relying on the profound cultural and ecological resources of the Qilihai Wetlands, Ninghe will further explore the development path of "ecology + cultural tourism" and share the story of local development.
