The 2023 Tianjin Ninghe Qilihai Half Marathon opened on Sept 24. Nearly 5,000 runners nationwide, and 33 foreign participants, participated in the ecological competition.

This event was a Class A race certified by the Chinese Athletics Association, guided by the Tianjin Municipal Athletics Association, and hosted by the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Sports and the People's Government of Tianjin’s Ninghe District.
This event included the Half Marathon Men's Group and the Half Marathon Women's Group, with a race distance of 21.1km. Zhang Qicheng won first place in the Men's Group with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes, and 32 seconds, while Li Chunxia won first place in the Women's Group with a time of 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 37 seconds.

The running route of this race was mainly based on Qilihai Avenue, integrating the Qilihai wetland landscape resources. The racetrack featured blue waves, flocks of birds, and lush reeds, allowing participants to enjoy nature while running freely in the "natural oxygen bar".
The starting and ending points of the racetrack, as well as the surrounding areas, were also equipped with rich supporting activities, art performances, and atmosphere displays, incorporating elements of ecological culture and rural revitalization that are unique to Ninghe district.
