Ninghe’s tourism season kicks off with lantern art festival

On April 8, the opening ceremony of Ninghe's Spring Tourism Season and the lighting ceremony of the first Ninghe Lantern Art Festival were held at Quliang Square.

These events were hosted by the People's Government of Tianjin Ninghe District, and organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Ninghe District Committee and Tianjin Ningtou Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd., with their officials present in the opening ceremony.

The first Ninghe Lantern Art Festival, which is one of the highlights of the tourism season, has integrated local folk customs, intangible heritage traditions, ecological greening, and parent-child entertainment, and attracted a big audience. Local residents turned out in droves to enjoy the festival.

Twenty lanterns with different shapes and features sparkled and lit up the night for visitors to enjoy.

According to the spokesperson of the Tianjin Ningtou Cultural Tourism Development, the first Lantern Art Festival includes four major sections of "fashion market", "dreamy sky", "charming Ninghe", and "natural harmony". It explored Ninghe's unique culture and introduced the lantern technology from Sichuan to create a festival powered by technology.

Through resource integration, Ninghe district has gradually formed an overall advantage for the development of the local tourism industry. Going forward, the local government will continue to promote more tourism activities to inject impetus for the local economy.
