The seedling breeding base project of Yuelong town is located in the north of Hujiadian village, and it started construction in October 2022. A section of the greenhouses has been built and put into trial operation. Sweet potatoes have been planted in Yuelong town for 4 to 5 years. In recent years, farmers have found that the sweet potato seedlings are key for agricultural product cultivation, and the operation of the greenhouse at the seedling breeding base has met the needs of farmers for high-quality seedlings.

"The lack of high-quality seedlings would hamper the development of the local agricultural industry. Under this circumstance, the government has promoted the construction of the seedling breeding base project, which has guaranteed the development of sweet potatoes in the town," said Li Xiuqiang, the operation manager of the rural revitalization project of Yuelong town.
Yuelong town has also established the sweet potato storage center project. Due to the short harvest season of sweet potatoes, the storage of sweet potatoes can directly affect the income of the farmers after being harvested. Therefore, the sweet potato storage center project, located adjacent to the seedling breeding base, has been set up by to meet these storage needs. The establishment of this project has not only solved the problem of sweet potato storage for farmers, but also ensured the promising prices of sweet potatoes, promoting the sweet potato brand of Yuelong town.
