The district-level office on illegal fundraising activities in Ninghe, Tianjin has launched a special campaign to crack down illegal fundraising cases targeting seniors in collaboration with the commission for political and legal affairs, the bureau of public security and the city's media center.
The special campaign was designed to promote the awareness and competence of the elderly in the prevention and control of fraudulent fundraising activities in the name of elderly-care services, elderly-care program investments and other scams.
The Ninghe Bureau of Public Security produced a self-directed sitcom on the basis of illegal fundraising cases to better warn senior citizens of illegal fundraising activities in the elderly-care sector.
The sitcom has received a heated response from the general public.
